Cake or Dice CIC

Cake or Dice CIC is a community board game café that supports the local community and the circular economy through various activities. The café is furnished entirely with reused and repaired furniture and furnishings, and it serves locally sourced and seasonal food whenever possible. In partnership with NEoN Digital Arts and Dundee Makers Space, the café hosts a repair café, along with workshops that repurpose old technology, board game pieces, and jewellery to create new items. The café also provides a space for creators to trial-run and sell their products, fostering a circular economy. Despite its small scale, the organisation believes in the transformative power of grassroots initiatives.
