Città Solare, founded in 1997, is a social cooperative dedicated to providing employment opportunities for individuals facing difficulties. With over 147 members and an average of 152 employees, the cooperative generates an annual turnover approaching seven million euros. It focuses on the social and professional integration of disadvantaged individuals, including former prisoners, recovering addicts, people with physical or mental disabilities, migrants, over-50s who have lost their jobs, or single parents, among others. Citta Solare collects and recycles household waste, among other services.
