Cycle Station

This organisation's main aims are the refurbishment of unwanted bikes which are rescued from two recycling centres in East Ayrshire avoiding landfill and they then use these bikes to train volunteers, members of the local community, referrals form a number of partners etc in bike mechanics, allowing them to gain qualifications, experience and employability skills. The refurbished bikes are then sold at a fraction of the price but at a rate that they recover their costs which also promotes active travel and gets people out of their cars.
