Fife Bikeworks

Bikeworks Fife Ltd is a charity and social enterprise based in Glenrothes Fife. They collect donated and unwanted bikes from Fife Council Recycling Centres, and private donations. These bikes are refurbished using mostly salvaged parts. If they can"t refurbish a bike, they use it strip it for any parts they can use and ensure everything gets as long a lifespan as possible. By doing this, they are cutting down on the carbon emissions of bike manufacture by reducing the number of products needed to be produced. You can help them with this by either donating your old bikes or by buying a refurbished bike. Their primary objective is to recycle bikes that would otherwise end up in landfill and make these useable for the benefit of the local community.
