La Formica

La Formica Cooperativa Sociale was established on March 1st 1996, based on the idea of a social solidarity group of young people who had been working for years in the Diocese of Rimini. The social cooperative offers job placements for disadvantaged people and among other services, it collects and manages household waste in the city of Rimini. La Formica, in fact, started with the collection of paper only in the historical center in 1996, then it extended the separate collection to all types of waste. To this important environmental sector, which remains the main activity of the Cooperative, other sectors of employment for disadvantaged people have been added over time: billposting (in various neighboring municipalities); road maintenance and vertical signage; management of cemeteries and funeral posters; management of the warehouse of used furniture and household items in S. Vito; collection of used clothing to support various social projects
