Recycling Saturday Prestwick is a community-led initiative dedicated to reducing landfill waste by organising monthly collections of unwanted items. These items are distributed to local groups and individuals who pass them on to charities for reuse or resale to raise funds. The initiative operates without assets, relying on community participation and social media engagement. It runs alongside a similar collection in Troon, both supported by dedicated Facebook pages, with the Prestwick page currently having over 2,500 members.
