HERWIN

HERWIN is the umbrella for reuse centres in the Flemish region of Belgium, whose objective is to link social economy enterprises to the activities which bring ecological added value to their communities.

It supports them in developing a professional approach to protect the environment and create job opportunities for people excluded from the labour market. HERWIN has developed quality-related projects such as the REVISIE standard for second-hand equipment and the Energy Cutters project to raise awareness on simple, energy-saving household interventions. It is also recognised for the performance of its some 100 reuse centres & shops selling high-quality second-hand goods at affordable prices known under the brand of Kringwinkel.
